Up and moving around

The boys are up and moving around these days. This morning when we went out to check on them, one had taken the plunge and ventured out and over the side of the whelping box. I guess it is time to close the flap so that mom has to jump up and into the box to get in. Another week and the boys will move to the indoor/outdoor run where they can run and play, for now they stay inside where it is temperature controlled at all times.

It is almost impossible to take a photo of phoenix without her tounge hanging out. She is a very happy dog, contstanty on the move and always looking for something to do. If she isn't nursing the puppies, she is wanting do some work, play a game or pushing up on our hands looking for a ear scratch.

The boys are 15 days old today. They weigh about 3.5 lbs and have their eyes open now.

The Boys are 11 days old now. Nobody has opened their eyes yet. They have really bulked up and are getting big. Phoenix got a bath today and really enjoyed herself for about an hour in the backyard, stretchig her legs and playing a game of fetch.

4 BLIND MICE

Starting in the wee hours of the morning, Phoenix began her labor. By 0330 hours, she had 3 healthy puppies delivered and the fourth came about an hour later. All 4 puppies are male and very dark in color. It is hard to tell at this point if any will have tan markings as they can lighten up as they get bigger. Keep checking back for weights and more photos.

Phoenix is nearly due

Phoenix is due any day now and she hasn't slowed down a bit. she is constantly in the pool and wants to play fetch whenever someone is around to throw her a ball. She his heavy with puppies and is happy and loving as can be.
